Donna Baldwin
Donna grew up in Longmeadow, MA, a small town located in western Massachusetts. She received both her BA and M Ed from American International College, studying Psychology and Education, and right after graduate school, taught Psychology at Greenfield Community College.
Donna moved with her family toYarmouth Port in 1982, and has spent the last 30 years living on Cape Cod, working both on and off Cape. She has spent those years working in financial services as a Regional Manager in Retail Banking as well as a Private Client Manager in Private Wealth Management.
She has always had a strong commitment to the communities where she worked and lived. While teaching she became a volunteer at a local ‘hotline’; when raising her family she joined the board of Yarmouth’s Little League, and later became a board member of the Cape Cod Runaway Network. For the past ten years she has been a volunteer, member and for the past three years served as President of the Board of Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod. Last fall she joined a Jimmy Carter Build in Haiti where 400 volunteers from around the world worked in partnership to build 100 homes.
In 2007 Donna joined WE CAN as a board member and subsequently became Treasurer of the Board. At that time the organization itself was going through great transition, and she felt strongly about the importance of moving the organization forward to promote its mission of empowering women. Now as a Special Advisor, Donna is happy to support WE CAN to serve even more women and provide even more services - helping women on Cape Cod to make sustaining positive changes in their lives.
