A magical event – that’s what nearly 2,000 attendees who visited the WE CAN Cape Designer ShowHouse had to say about this, our first ever event of its kind. With a home transformed by over 20 top designers from the Cape, the Islands and Boston, our ShowHouse  was a remarkable success, and all proceeds raised go to support essential WE CAN programs and services. Whether you joined us during our June event and are here for more information; to visit participating designer’s web sites; to read the digital version of our ShowHouse magazine or to re-create your ShowHouse visit through our lovely video; we welcome you to join us as we thank our many wonderful designers, sponsors and advertisers. Without them, this amazing event would not have been possible!

Transformation: Remodeling, reshaping, rebuilding; a thorough or dramatic change in form or appearance.

No wonder WE CAN chose a Designer ShowHouse as the newest addition to our repertoire of fundraising events. It’s the perfect metaphor for what  WE CAN embodies and what our programs help empower. The transformation these amazing designers brought to one family home in lovely Osterville, MA was  inspirational, and our ShowHouse visitors, sponsors and volunteers were all touched by what was accomplished in such a short time, and the positive impact the funds raised will have on so many Cape women’s lives. In the photograph below,  the official ShowHouse ribbon cutting is performed by, left to right, bottom row: ShowHouse Co-Honoree David Webster; WE CAN President Sharon Hawkins; homeowners Peggy and Pat Patalino; ShowHouse Co-Honoree Richard Fitz Gerald. Back row, left to right: Mike Schlott, President, Kinlin Grover Regional Office; Janice Rohlf, Editorial and Content Director for Lighthouse Media Solutions; ShowHouse Committee Chairs Margie Huggard and Jeanne Upton; WE CAN Executive Director Andi Genser.
