Janet Taylor has had the good fortune to have a career in philanthropy with Associated Grant Makers, Raytheon’s corporate giving program, and now with a Boston law firm as a Philanthropic Advisor. She currently serves as the Managing Trustee of the C. F. Adams Charitable Trust, which focuses on Downeast Maine and children’s mental health in Massachusetts. Throughout her life, Orleans has been her retreat and she permanently moved there from Natick, MA with her late husband, Bruce, in 2000.
Her philanthropic work has largely focused on women, children and families. She launched the Committee to Strengthen Programs for Women and Girls in the 1970’s and served on the national board of Women and Foundations/Corporate Philanthropy. She is delighted to be working on behalf of WE CAN, an organization dedicated to providing Cape Cod women with access to resources that build confidence and self-reliance.
