Small Business Support

WE CAN offers free, confidential, and personalized 60-minute one-on-one consultations with expert volunteers for anyone who wants support and guidance for their small business. Volunteers can advise those who have an idea for a business and those with an existing business who want to expand or scale up.

WE CAN welcomes anyone with a business in any stage of development – from idea to mature, long-standing business who lives in Barnstable County. All consultations are free and are scheduled by calling the office.

When you call to set up an appointment, we will ask you for a little information about your business and send you a form to fill out to give us a more complete picture of the support you are looking for. You are welcome to bring any documents or materials and all your questions with you for your appointment.

WE CAN offers a small group program called GROW (Get Results with Others’ Wisdom) for women small business owners. GROW is facilitated by a business expert and runs for 6 sessions a few times during the year. Click here for more information about GROW.

WE CAN offers Informational Sessions for GROW several times a year. These sessions provide an opportunity to meet GROW leaders, hear from women who have finished the program and ask questions about how the program can benefit your business.

WE CAN volunteers offer individual appointments on the phone, on Zoom and in person at both WE CAN offices in Harwich Port and Hyannis.

WE CAN offers business workshops throughout the year focusing on areas such as: Cybersecurity in the Workplace, Small Business Roundtables, Marketing and Social Media workshops, E-commerce Business Workshops.
