55 Years of Community. One Extraordinary Night.

Some concerts are simply about the music. This one is about something much bigger.

On Sunday, September 6, WE CAN , and Cotuit Center for the Arts will come together at the Cape Cod Melody Tent to celebrate a remarkable milestone: 55 combined years of serving the Cape Cod community—25 years for WE CAN and 30 years for Cotuit Center for the Arts.

The evening will feature Women Rock, an electrifying concert performed by many of Cape Cod’s finest musicians and singers. For us, this evening represents something even more meaningful.

For twenty-five years, WE CAN has helped thousands of Cape Cod women navigate life’s challenges with confidence and dignity by providing free, confidential services including legal assistance, financial empowerment, mentoring, career support, and small business development. Every day, WE CAN helps women discover new opportunities, greater independence, and brighter futures.

For thirty years, Cotuit Center for the Arts has grown from a small community arts organization into one of Cape Cod’s leading cultural institutions, serving more than 50,000 people each year through performances, exhibitions, arts education, outreach programs, and opportunities for artists of every age and ability. The Center exists because we believe creativity has the power to inspire, connect, and strengthen communities.

Our missions are different. Our values are remarkably similar.

We both believe that everyone deserves access to opportunity.

We both believe in inclusion, compassion, and belonging.

We both believe that vibrant communities are built by bringing people together.

And we both believe that investing in people enriches all of Cape Cod.

In many ways, this collaboration feels like it was meant to happen.

When we approached the Cape Cod Melody Tent with the idea, they immediately recognized what made it special. Rather than simply renting us the venue, they invited Women Rock to become part of their 2026 concert season—a remarkable endorsement of both the quality of the production and the significance of this collaboration.

Perhaps the most meaningful part of the evening is that the net proceeds will be shared equally between WE CAN and Cotuit Center for the Arts, ensuring that the impact of this celebration extends far beyond a single night and helps both organizations continue serving the Cape Cod community for years to come.

Today, we’re asking for your help.

Help us celebrate 55 years of service to this extraordinary community.

If you’ve already purchased tickets, thank you. Please consider inviting friends, family, neighbors, and colleagues to join you. If you’ve been thinking about coming, we hope you’ll decide to be part of this special evening.

Help us demonstrate what is possible when local nonprofits work together—not because they have the same mission, but because they share the same commitment to making Cape Cod a stronger, more vibrant place to live.

More importantly, we hope you’ll leave knowing that your ticket helped sustain two organizations whose work touches thousands of lives every year.

Together, let’s celebrate the past. And together, let’s invest in the next 55 years.

What an inspiring night! It reminds me of my gaming nights with friends—those Platform Games create bonds just like community events do. It's all about connection and shared experiences, right?
