COVID-19 Message to Our Community

The health and safety of our participants, volunteers, staff, and the community at large is of critical importance to us at WE CAN. We are relying on the local, state, and national public health experts for information about COVID-19, including review of ongoing alerts and information provided by the Barnstable County Department of Health and Environment, Massachusetts Department of Public Health, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

In the days ahead, our approach is to take rational, proactive measures to reduce the risk of the spread of COVID-19 while continuing to meet the needs of the women and families on Cape Cod. We will continue to offer programs and services with the following changes:

  • Intake and referral services will be conducted by phone

  • One to one legal, work support, and financial empowerment services will be offered via teleconferencing (phone) or video conferencing (computer/phone)

  • Small group programs currently underway may continue via video conferencing

  • Workshops and programs not yet underway will be postponed and rescheduled as soon as possible The need to continue these measures will be assessed continuously and operations will return to normal as soon as possible. A longstanding and core value of WE CAN’s work is the belief that ‘We Are Each Other’. In these coming days, we know this value will be more important than ever. If you are in need of assistance, scheduled for an appointment, or volunteer at WE CAN and have any questions, we encourage you to call our office at 508-430-8111 or email: info@wecancenter.org. Thank You, The Staff of WE CAN Previous Post
