Aging Wisely and Well:  Embracing the ups and downs of growing older

6 week Support Group (Six Tuesdays)

Facilitated by WE CAN volunteer Ruth Anderson-Zabre

This group is for women who want to discuss the challenges and joys of aging. Various topics will be discussed such as: building connections, having support, sharing life stories, transitions, loss, anticipation and new worries in addition to other issues suggested by group members. This is a 6 week in person group facilitated by a trained mental health professional.

PathMaker is a facilitator-led peer mentoring program that empowers women through self-advocacy and personal growth. Using a strengths-based approach, participants gain confidence, support, and connection in a safe space. Each PathMaker selects a mentoring partner to work toward a personal goal, meeting individually and in monthly group sessions in Hyannis, hosted by WE CAN. Discussions cover topics like self-compassion, personal strengths, and vision-setting.

Program Details:

  • Now offering 2 programs starting this Fall!

  • Duration: Nine months (September – May)

  • Meetings: Monthly, 2.5 hours in the evening

Taking your business from an idea to official. Covering the topics of business viability, legal steps to becoming established, and marketing considerations. This workshop will cover choosing a business name, knowing your market, your niche, and your mission. It will dive into beginner steps of getting your business out there via website/social media and becoming legitimate. Q&A at end​
